77th Independence Day Celebration
As our Motherland celebrates the 77th Independence Day, aiming for the Moon and the Sun, and vows to progress and shine even more, 15th August becomes iconic in how we pledge to put our Nation First and remember the heroes, sung and unsung, because of whom we enjoy our freedom.
We, Team BOGS, celebrated this Independence Day by playing a small part in making the world a better place.
The event started from 8:30 am with exchange of greetings and distribution of Tricolored badges.
Flag Hoisting Ceremony was done at 9am sharp with patriotism, cheers and singing of the National Anthem. The BOGS flag was unfurled too.
The moments of togetherness and vows to improve women health “Nari Swasth ke liye Badlav” as endorsed by FOGSI were captured in minds and reels.
Eager pledges were made for Organ Donation as a part of the FOGSI Campaign.
After a quick refreshment, several members of the Society joined hands to plant saplings beside the big lake near BOGS Office. This was done as a part of the Tree Plantation Drive of the FOGSI Presidential Initiative. Team BOGS 2023-24 planted 114 saplings starting from 3rd August 2023. This activity was enjoyed and cherished by all – young and old.
The next and the last activity was a visit to Sukanya Home – a home for the unfortunate, underprivileged, abused and deprived girls of the society. The girls were friendly, cheerful and were celebrating Independence Day with great fervor. They gifted hand-made cards and small hand-made tokens with special messages to all doctors who attended. The BOGS Team gifted the girls with study items. The event brought a sense of hope, support and upliftment for them. Promises were made to arrange Health Check-up Camps and Awareness Programmes on Adolescent Health Issues with them in the future.
