Public Awareness on Women’s Health

On October 1, 2018, a public awareness programme on Women’s Health was organized  by the Public Awareness Committee of The Bengal Obstetric &    Gynaecological Society at the Bethun College, Kolkata, the 1st Women’s College in Asia (Established in 1879).

A total numbers of 351 students and faculties took active part in that programme. Prof Dr Mamata Ray, Principal in her inaugural address praised highly about this type of noble activities of The Bengal Obstetric & Gynaecological Society. She also said that the students of her College will be immensely benefited by this programe and wished to organize such programme in future also.

            Dr Abinash Chandra Ray talked about The Bengal Obstetric & Gynaecological Society regarding the community services, health check up camps etc regularly throughout the year in Kolkata and outside. He thanked the principal and Dr Hiroj Kumar Saha

            NSS Programme Officer, Bethune College, Kolkata for well organizing the programme.

 

            Dr Suranjan Chakrabarti presented very nicely some of the common health issues of the adolescent & adult girls in powerpoint slides.

            There was huge number of questions were placed by the Students and Faculties of Bethune College. Dr Saktirupa Chakraborty, Dr Nirmala Pipara, Dr Bulbul   Raichaudhuri, Dr Bipasa Sen, Dr Kalpana Sarkar, Dr Suranjan  Chakrabarti,    Dr Abinash Chandra Ray answered them in details.

The programme was very interactive and appropriate.  The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr Abinash Chandra Ray, Vice President, BOGS.
