Public Health Promotion Project 2025-2026

The Bengal Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (BOGS), in collaboration with Rotary Clubs of Kolkata and other partners, conducted a comprehensive Public Awareness and Health Screening Programme at Mansur Habibullah Memorial School, Kudghat. The programme began on 31 July 2026 with awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, HPV vaccination, anaemia screening and PMOS, followed by an interactive discussion with students, parents and teachers. The inaugural programme was attended by 78 children, 147 parents and 35 teachers, with 248 girls screened for anaemia and 137 for thalassemia.

The initiative continued with additional haemoglobin estimation and thalassemia screening camps on 7 and 10 August 2026, and concluded with an HPV vaccination camp on 15 August 2026, where 101 girls were vaccinated.
