Public Awareness at Beltala

A Public Awareness Program was held in Beltola Girls’ High School, 17, Beltola Road, Kolkata – 700026.  200 students of Class IX – X participated. Headmistress Smt Ajanta Mukhopadhyay gave an introduction to the purpose of the programme and welcomed BOGS team represents by Dr. Bulbul Raichaudhuri, Dr. Kalpana Sarkar, Dr Suranjan Chakrabarti, Dr. Abinash Chadra Ray, Dr. Nirmala Pipara and Dr. Bipasa Sen.

Dr Bipasa Sen gave a powerpoint presentation on Adolescent Health Issues and Dr Nirmala Pipara gave a presentation on Menstrual Hygiene. Dr Suranjan Chakrabarti moderated the whole programme. Dr Abinash Chandra Ray, Dr Bulbul Raichaudhuri talked on personal cleanliness and practical problems of Adolescent Girls. The session was interactive.

All students were given BOGS customized slip pad and pen.

Huge numbers of questions were received from students and answer given by the panel of doctors.

The headmistress and other teachers appreciated the programme very much and wished to have similar programme for other classes in future.
