Online educational webinar under the SATHI – Smart Nursing

The Federation of Obstetric & Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI), and the Bengal Obstetric and Gynecological society   conducted an online educational webinar under the SATHI – Smart Nursing initiative aimed at strengthening nursing skills in maternal healthcare on 19th August 2026. The initiative was taken by the Practical Obstetric committee, Public Awareness committee and Young talent promotion committee.
Welcome address was given by Dr Shyamal Sett president BOGS.

The session  covered practical and essential topics including:
* Communication skills & professionalism
* Respectful maternity care
* PPH management
* Eclampsia protocol
* ANC & PNC care
* Infection control & universal precautions
* Post-operative care and micro-skills.

The speakers were Dr Bidisha Roy Chowdhury and Dr Mandira Dasgupta.
