Independence Day Celebration

72nd Independence Day was celebrated on August 15, 2018 at “Pratishruti”. The programme started at 9.00 am with hoisting of the national flag along with the BOGS flag by Prof Sudhir Adhikari, President, BOGS and Dr Basab Mukherjee, Hony. Secretary, BOGS. National anthem was sung by the members. Fifteen members were present during the ceremony. After that, we visit to Alokendu Bodh Niketan, Kankurgachi where gifts were provided to the handicapped and mentally challenged children. We also donated a Computer with Printer to Alokendu Bodh Niketan.

Public Awareness Walk

A Public Awareness Walk was organized by The Bengal Obstetric & Gynaecological Society from Alokendu Bodh Niketan, Kankurgachi to Pholbagan More on the occasion of Independence Day, August 15, 2018 from 11.00 am onwards. The theme of the walk was “She decides, we care" and to create awareness amongst the people.

During this whole journey the leaflets were distributed. Tableau, festoons and placards were carried with relevant messages.

More than 60 people including senior doctors, general public and NGO people arranged by Dr Nirmala Pipara participated in this 4 KM walked.
