CME on ‘Bariatric Surgery and Women’

The Bengal Obstetric & Gynaecological Society and Digestive Surgery Clinic, Belle Vue organized a CME on ‘Bariatric Surgery and Women’ on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at The Spring Club, Silver Spring, EM Bypass, Kolkata.

Dr Tulika Jha spoke on “Obesity and its effects in Women’s Health” Dr Jayita Chakrabarti spoke on “Pregnancy after Bariatric Surgery”. The Chairpersons for the session were Dr Sudhir Adhikari, Dr Hiralal Konar.

Dr Sarfaraz Jalil Baig spoke on “Bariatric Surgery and Reproductive Outcome” and Dr  Kankona Dey spoke on “Dietary Adjustments before and after Bariatric Surgery”

Afterthat, A Panel discussion was held on “Bariatric Surgery in Women – Indications, Outcomes, Complications”. Moderators was Dr Sarfaraz Jalil Baig. Panelists were Dr Anirban Sinha, Endocrinologist, Dr Kankona Dey, Dr Mahua Bhattacharya, Dr Pallawi Priya 

A total of 80 doctors from in and around Kolkata attended the academic meet.
