Total registrations- 112, total number of faculties were 60.
Two symposia with 10 speakers, including 5 talks with academic partners.
There were 3 interactive panels – on “Contraception in Special Situations”, “ Fetal Growth Restriction” and “Adnexal Masses: The Complete Spectrum”, which were very well appreciated.
There were four invited video presentations where our young guns demonstrated their surgical skills.
The first session highlighted recent advances in artificial intelligence, minimally invasive surgery, gynae oncology, cosmetic gynaecology, and ovarian ageing management.
One of the major highlights of the conference was the prestigious YUVA Oration, delivered by Dr Bidisha Roychowdhury on the thought-provoking topic “The Nexus of Abuse and Health.” The oration sensitively addressed the impact of abuse on women’s physical and mental health and was highly appreciated by the audience for its relevance and social significance.
The whole programme was conceptualised by the young BOGS members.
The Organising Secretaries Avishek Bhadra and Dipanwita Banerjee showed exemplary leadership skills and this was one of the reasons for the success of YUVCON 26.
A special Yuva edition of BOGS Times was published by BOGS President Dr MM Samsuzzoha during the inauguration along with Organizing Chairperson and Honorary Clinical Secretary Dr Sushmita Chattopadhyay. The conference was backed up throughout by Honorary Secretary BOGS, Dr Tulika Jha.
The conference concluded Cultural Programme: Rabindra Sangeet and dance performances were beautifully presented by our own members. A play, conducted by Dr. Mamtaz Sanghamita, was also staged successfully.
YUVACON 2026 was widely appreciated for its contemporary scientific content, interactive format, and strong emphasis on innovation and mentorship, reaffirming BOGS’ commitment to nurturing the next generation of obstetricians and gynaecologists and the cultural programme as well.
