Endogyn 2026

The Annual National Conference of the Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE) was held on March 20–22, 2026 at ITC Royal Bengal, Kolkata in collaboration with IAGE Bengal and the Bengal Obstetric & Gynaecological Society (BOGS).

 

The first day was a live surgical workshop on March 20, 2026.

 

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from eminent national and international faculty.

 

A total of 713 delegates attended the Conference.

Pre-Conference Workshop

The live workshop utilized a multi-screen operating grid system with live transmissions from Manipal and Apollo Hospitals, and Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai & Europe.

The workshop covered a wide range of procedures.

A key highlight was the international robotic surgery demonstration by Dr. Horace Roman (Romania) on complex endometriosis involving bowel, showcasing cutting-edge advancements in robotic gynecological surgery.

Academic sessions included competitive video sessions, Free communications, Spotlight sessions on basics in MIS, Keynote lectures and guest lectures, Expert video sessions and VAST (Video Assisted Surgical Training), Panel discussions and symposia on all aspects of MIS.

 

The conference oration was delivered by Dr. Bhaskar Pal, FOGSI President on “Rational Management of Uterine Myoma.”

 

Two prestigious orations were delivered: Dr. Rakesh Sinha Memorial Oration by Dr Kalyan Barmade & Dr. Rishma & Dr. Hrishikesh Pai Oration by Dr Sudha Tandon.

 

Inauguration ceremony was held on Saturday, March 21 when Dr Sudha Tandon took over from the outgoing president, Dr Kalyan Barmade.

 

A special session featuring pioneers of gynecological endoscopy provided valuable insights into the evolution of the field. It was an interesting chat steered by Dr Shailesh Puntambekar and stalwarts in conversation were Dr Prashant Mangeshikar & Dr Prakash Trivedi.

Both days had enjoyable cultural programmes along with ramp walk.
