Cervical Cancer and Women's Health Awareness Camp held at Joynagar

The program was attended by Dr Mahua Bhattacharya , Dr Soumyojit Pal and Dr Sunabha Kumar Ghosh from BOGS.

The Camp started with three brief talks by BOGS representatives on Menstrual Hygiene, Cervical Cancer Awareness and PCOS emphasizing on good health practices, importance of screening, early consultation and vaccination.

This programme  was graced by Guests: Akija Khan (Pradhan, Sahajadapur Gram Panchayet), Pannalal Baidya (Upa Pradhan, Sahajadapur Gram Panchayet), Prasenjit Sardar (Member, Sahajadapur Gram Panchayet), Tripti Halder ( Sabhanetri, Shakti Sangha (SHG)), Sulekha Purkait ( Sampadika, Shakti Sangha (SHG), Tapas Bhaduri ( Secretary, Kheyagosthi).

It was attended by 140 women, consisting of members of local self-help group, their family and school going children of nearby villages.

We have carried out invasive Hemoglobin testing for those who expressed interest (total 56) and IFA tablets dispensed to those having Hb <10>

Kheya Goshthi will update us regarding number of willing candidates (girls of age 9-14 y) for cervical cancer vaccination planned on a later date (26.12.2025).
