CERVICAL CANCER VACCINATION AND AWARENESS PROGRAMME AT NALHATI
BOGS organized an awareness program at Asleha and Sofia Girls College and cervical cancer Vaccination at South End School NALHATI on 9th December.
Dr M M Samsuzzoha and Dr Susmita Mitra spoke on Cervical cancer vaccination and menstrual hygiene and PCOS at the college where the attendance was 237 students and 20 staff from Asleha Girls College and 124 students and 15staff from Sofia Girls College.
This was followed by a Vaccination programme at the South End School where 140 girls between the age of 9 to 14 years were vaccinated with the first dose of cervical cancer vaccine. Out of these 140 vaccines the cost of 123 were shared by RC Calcutta South West and 17 were shared by RC CALCUTTA CHARNOCK CITY.
Dr Sebanti Goswami, Dr Manjir Mitra and Dr Shamita Ghosal, Dr Shabana Roze Chowdhury were also present from BOGS.
The entire program was extremely well coordinated by Dr Shabana Roze Chowdhury and the teachers of the school
