BOGS Commemorates Elimination of VAW fortnight

Team BOGS 25-26 organised a thought provoking programme to commemorate Violene Against Women(VAW) week on the 5th of December at The Stadel.

The afternoon started with a Talk on Screening for VAW and it's Impact on Reproductive Health by our Secretary Tulika Jha followed by a talk on Gender-Based Violence and it's impact on Mental Health delivered by psychiatrist Dr Sharmistha Chakraborty.

The panel discussion on "Bridging the Gaps: cross sector solutions to address VAW" was moderated by our President Dr MMSamsuzzoha who covered most aspects of this sensitive topic.The distinguished panelists were Justice Debasish Kar Gupta( Former Chief Justice Kolkata High Court) ,

Ms Sriya Sataluri ( Senior Programme Lead,Swayam), Dr.Sebanti Goswami (BOGS), Ms Yashabanti Sreemany (Member, WBCPCR),Ms Sucharita De(Journalist, TV Anchor and Political Scientist).

There was stimulating discussion among the panelists along with a  with the  participation of the audience.
