Health Camp & Public Awareness Program on the occasion of "Menstrual Hygiene Day"

To observe Menstrual Hygiene Day, a health camp and public awareness programme was organized on May 28, 2025, at Apni Kutir, Chetla, in collaboration with the Calcutta Foundation Club.

The event aimed to deliver both educational and clinical support to underserved women in the community. Dr. Annesha Dutta and Dr. Ankur Biswas led the initiative, providing expert guidance on key health topics such as anaemia, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, and cervical cancer.

In addition to awareness sessions, essential lab tests—including haemoglobin (Hb) and random blood sugar (RBS) checks—were conducted on-site. The programme also included the distribution of free medicines such as iron and calcium supplements, deworming agents, and multivitamins to support preventive care.

A total of 72 beneficiaries received services through this integrated approach, making the event a successful blend of health education and medical outreach.
