Public awareness programme on HPV protection

A public awareness programme was conducted on May 22, 2025, at Gurunanak Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Sodepur, with the objective of educating participants on critical aspects of women's health.

 

The event featured informative talks by Dr. Annesha Datta, Dr. Alpana Chhetri, and Dr. Susmita Chattopadhyay, who addressed a variety of important topics including menstrual hygiene, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), cervical cancer, and HPV vaccination. The session aimed to foster awareness and encourage preventive healthcare practices, especially among young women.

 

With 120 participants in attendance, the programme successfully created a platform for open dialogue, clarification of common doubts, and the promotion of early intervention strategies to support women’s health and well-being.
