Public Awareness Programme for Underprivileged Women and Children
A public awareness programme focusing on the health and hygiene of underprivileged women and children was held on April 10, 2025, at Ramakrishna Pally, Dashadrone, Rajarhat Gopalpur.
The event was organized in partnership with Mukti Rehabilitation Centre and brought together medical professionals and community members for a day of education and empowerment.
The faculty included Dr. Jayita Chakrabarti, Dr. Annesha Datta, Dr. Sunabha Kumar Ghosh, and Dr. Susmita Chattopadhyay, who delivered insightful and accessible talks on crucial topics such as menstrual hygiene, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and other common female health issues, as well as cervical cancer awareness.
These discussions aimed to bridge the gap in health education among marginalized communities and foster a better understanding of women’s reproductive health. The programme saw the enthusiastic participation of 68 women and children, making it a significant step toward inclusive public health awareness.
