Health Camp & Public Awareness Program – World Health Day
In observance of World Health Day, a Health Camp and Public Awareness Program was organized on April 7, 2025, at Apni Kutir, Kharagpur, in partnership with the Calcutta Foundation.
The initiative aimed to promote community well-being through education and basic healthcare services. The program was led by Dr. Bulbul Raichaudhuri, Dr. Bipasa Sen, and Dr. Nupur Chakraborty, who engaged participants on critical health topics such as anaemia, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, and cervical cancer awareness.
Alongside educational sessions, essential lab investigations—including haemoglobin (Hb), random blood sugar (RBS), and bone mineral density (BMD) tests—were conducted. Free medications were also distributed, including iron and calcium supplements, deworming tablets, and multivitamins. The camp successfully reached 54 beneficiaries, making a meaningful impact on preventive health care in the local community.
